Included in the Framework is to supply around 600 new portable gas monitors. Due to the success of the previous Framework Agreement, it was decided that the Crowcon range of portable gas monitors would be used once again, these are tried and trusted by Yorkshire Water personnel having proved their reliability, functionality and cost effectiveness.

Units used include Tetra3 for standard confined space gases (Methane, Oxygen, Hydrogen Sulphide and Carbon Monoxide), Tetra for more specialist gases (Chlorine, Sulphur Dioxide, Ozone and Ammonia), Gasman for data-logging and Tripleplus+ IR for Biogas (high range ppm Hydrogen Sulphide and 100% Volume Biogas).

Also included in the Framework is to maintain over 200 fixed gas detection systems spread over more than 100 locations throughout Yorkshire. These systems are vital for the protection of plant and personnel and to this end we supply 24/7 back-up 365 days a year.
